Re: Progress report ;-)

Post by Bekafish on Thu Sep 25, 2008 5:38 am

That re-start didn't start too well! Crying or Very sad I'm trying to get some motivation to do some exercise. We have been really busy, but I should be able to start finding some time for exercise again. I will let you know if it works. What is good to start with again? I was thinking of just doing some core exercises to start with. I really like the idea of going to bed for a week, but I can't find that much time yet. Shocked

diet energy drain?

Post by Mother Kat on Thu Sep 04, 2008 4:22 pm

Having looked at your diet, Moo, I think it's the flu that's killing you. I know when I was eating more fruits and veggies I had a little more energy. Now that you've kicked the flu, you should be good if you exercise more!

Dieting like mad

Post by moo on Thu Sep 04, 2008 2:07 pm

Hi all,

This is my first post, I'm just following the eating plan I got from my dietician and trying to work out whenever I can... I've had the flu for nearly 2 weeks now so I have zero energy and just feel like SLEEPING...

Has anyone else noticed a change in energy levels when on diet? I am eating as much as I'm supposed to, according to my dietician, to not feel tired, but I really really am... I'm wondering whether its just the flu or something more?

Sigh more veggies tonight, blah!

Hi, I am in the middle of my move from NZ to NL.
So not much happening terms of sensible eating or exercise (apart from the moving days). Next there will be 10 days in Malaysia with probably lots of FOOD!! Have to keep in mind that I have to choose the vegetables :-)

Island update!

Post by Bekafish on Tue Jul 08, 2008 6:24 am

Hi all!

How's everyone getting on? I still haven't managed to get back into any sort of exercise routine, but all is not lost. The reason I don't have time for exercise is that I've been teaching again as our instructor has been sick. I'm staying the same weight, which is OK, but need to find time for toning certain areas like belly. Maybe next month? My partner is away too so extra work from that.

I found a good way to help loss weight was to eat alot of veg and salad, so I felt like I was eating alot but I wasn't taking in so many calaries. Also I try not to keep chocolate in the house, otherwise I would EAT IT ALL!

I need to do some cardio stuff, but I have pulled something in my chest, so I won't start that for a while yet. I have been taking some traditional medicine and have been using message for this and it is much better.

Let us know how you are doing!

Good idea

Post by drksecret on Fri Jun 20, 2008 4:44 am

We need to stay motivated!!

I have been cycling twice a week (from and to work) and doing weights.
So have kept the exercise up. Eating is the challenge, because of the increased exercise I also eat more, need to watch that a bit more i think!

New Ideas

Post by Bekafish on Fri Jun 20, 2008 4:36 am

Just took a look at the forum again and I think we are all lossing momentum a bit. (Especially me! Crying or Very sad ) We are all trying to help each other, but we have all been busy with other things. How about we try to post something every 2 weeks at least? Even if it's just to say we are still there. We still need to think about ourselves sometimes and need like minded people to talk to.

I have not managed much of anything, but when we were at another resort last week they have a pool, so I did manage some laps. I took Rebecca in for a play, but she was happy hanging out with a friend while I got to swim a bit. Swimming is a great exercise. After that I realised that I really need to get back to some cardio. Embarassed Do any of you swim? Any new ideas for exercises?

Good to see you back!!
I have only started exercising again this week, have felt a bit down/crap (winter has just started here with all the colds and stuff).
The weight has gone up 2 kgs which is really weird, never mind assume it is hormones or something :-) We will just keep on going!

Hi all! I disappeared again. Sorry. We have been having connection problems again. I have also been busy with teaching. I thought that it would be great to have to teach all the course with our instructor away, but the problem is my other work still has to be done! Hence time to exercise has been out the window, but as I have been diving a lot, I have still been getting exercise. She will be back next month. No promise to start full workouts till then, but I am going to start the core exercises again. I'm still having problem of shape and tone. You guys seemed to have got into some good exercise routines. I will try to follow your good examples. Keep up the good work! Don't worry so much about weight, measuring is the important one. How often do you measure? I'm currently avoiding it. Have fun sunny

I have NO idea how she did it. I assume lots of working out and eating well! She had a good base to start from, though, since she just got out of the army about a year ago. Still...3 sizes in about 6 months...
That woman is just too perfect. lol Her house is always clean, too....
